A favourite for both locals and visitors, it connects the lively city centre with the peace of the Botanical Garden and the shoreline of Kaisaniemenlahti bay. As part of the park’s ongoing renovation, we are proud to have contributed outdoor furniture that supports the evolving needs of this dynamic space.
In the section near the Botanical Garden, visitors can now enjoy our IISALMI loungers, chairs, and stools – painted in a calm, elegant green that blends harmoniously with the natural surroundings. While the furniture has a distinctly modern look, its proportions and materials reflect the quiet dignity expected of a central city park.

This collection basically started with a single bench. Originally designed for the historic Kirkkopuisto Park in Iisalmi, the IISALMI bench was created to complement a classic setting while meeting modern accessibility standards. From that starting point, the collection has grown into a comprehensive furniture family that includes table sets, loungers, stools, stackable chairs, bike racks, and even planting tables.
IISALMI furniture is made to be adaptable – both visually and structurally. The steel frames can be galvanised or painted, while the wooden surfaces can be left natural or painted in any colour. The modular construction allows for creative combinations, ensuring each installation feels thoughtful and tailored to its environment.
