3-part swing
Designed for tranquility, the Pukkila Swing transforms any outdoor space into a serene retreat. Installed at the historic Pukkila tile factory site in Turku – now a modern residential area – this swing offers a place to pause, reflect, and take in the surroundings.
Unlike traditional playground swings, the PUKKILA Swing is engineered for gentle, soothing motion. Developed by ABAU DESIGN, a built-in motion-control mechanism ensures a limited, smooth range of movement, creating an experience closer to a meditative sway than energetic play.
The PUKKILA Swing can be configured as a single unit, a two- or three-swing composition, or extended further as needed. This flexibility allows it to adapt seamlessly to different courtyard sizes and design concepts – from a quiet corner retreat to a larger shared feature.
An integrated lighting option further enhances the experience. Discreetly installed along the upper beam, the lighting adds both safety and atmosphere, casting a soft, elegant glow that allows the swing to be enjoyed even after dusk.
