AITTA collection in Kemiönsaari
Grounded Design in a Natural Setting
Just outside the centre of Kemiö, along Niittykummuntie, a new recreational area has been enhanced with our AITTA benches and table groups. Surrounded by fields, forests, and walking paths, the location called for furniture that would fit the landscape naturally while also withstanding time, weather, and daily use.
For this project, larch and corten steel were chosen – materials that not only harmonise visually with the environment but also ensure durability and low maintenance. The result is furniture that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings, offering local residents a simple, comfortable place to pause and enjoy the outdoors.
Our AITTA collection embodies durability, adaptability, and a deep connection to nature. Crafted from massive logs, AITTA furniture can be made from freshly cut timber (pine, Siberian larch, Douglas fir) or recycled timber, giving new life to wood that has already served for generations.
The design is modular and highly flexible: benches, table groups, or larger configurations can be customised in length, dimensions, and layout. With standard log sizes of 25 x 25 cm or 15 x 15 cm, AITTA can be tailored to suit both intimate courtyards and expansive public areas.
What sets AITTA apart is its ability to stand out modestly – creating presence without overpowering its setting. Clean lines, generous proportions, and natural materials allow it to feel at home in both modern cityscapes and rural landscapes, while offering long-lasting strength and sustainability.
In Kemiö, AITTA has found a fitting home – complementing the quiet beauty of its surroundings and serving the local community for years to come.
