TÖÖLÖ benches for a lively city square 

Located in the heart of Kerava, Paasikivenaukio is one of the city's key public spaces. Surrounded by educational facilities, local businesses, pedestrian routes, and the adjacent Paasikivenpuisto park, the square serves as an important meeting place and everyday destination for residents and visitors alike.

As part of the area's development, ABAU DESIGN supplied several seating solutions from the TÖÖLÖ collection. Installed throughout the square and park environment, the benches help make the location a place where people choose to linger rather than simply pass through.

The project includes multiple TÖÖLÖ bench configurations, including models with and without backrests, as well as versions equipped with single or double armrests. Alongside freestanding benches, lighter seating elements were integrated into the surrounding stone structures and pathways, helping create a cohesive and inviting public environment.

The TÖÖLÖ collection was originally developed from a need to create seating that could be integrated into stone architecture. This starting point evolved into a versatile family of benches, chairs and tables, that combines warm wooden elements with a durable steel structure and a calm, contemporary design language.

TÖÖLÖ can be installed as a freestanding element or integrated into architectural features such as stone walls, retaining structures, and public landscapes. A variety of wood species, surface treatments, and configuration options allows each installation to respond to the specific character of its surroundings while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

Designed for demanding public environments, TÖÖLÖ balances durability, accessibility, and comfort. Backrests and armrests provide support for a wide range of users, while the collection's carefully considered proportions help create welcoming spaces that encourage people to stay and spend time outdoors.
