Kausala market square, Iitti
Crafted with Finnish natural stone (Kuru grey granite) and untreated Finnish larch, these benches offer a perfect blend of durability and classic aesthetics. Installed in late spring 2023, these benches boast an innovative structure developed by ABAU Design, allowing for easy relocation using lifting straps and special lifting plates, despite their weight of over 250 kg each.

Kalevankangas cemetery, Tampere
The waste bins at the cemetery were still functional but looked battered, with the paint surface patched up unevenly over the years. Within the surroundings of the old Kalevankangas cemetery the bins looked untidy and spoiled the general restful spirit of the beautiful solemn graveyard. Pyynikki park, Tampere
Our large planters, crafted from hot-dip galvanised and painted steel and equipped with tall growth supports, have found their place in the courtyard of the magnificent old brick building in Pyynikki Park, Tampere. Installed in late spring 2022, when the photos were taken, the planters were still to showcase the full height of their greenery, and how the combination of green, red, and black would create a stunning visual display.

Vähäjoki, Salo
A curved NAANTALI collection bench embellished the outdoor trail along the Vähäjoki River in Salo. When the wooden seat was assembled, the frame, crafted from corten steel, which had already been installed before, developed a rich patina, adding character to the surroundings. The bench not only provides a comfortable resting spot but also contributes to the aesthetic charm of the outdoor trail by the Vähäjoki River.

AITTA benches, Hämeenlinna
The logs utilised in Hämeenlinna originate from a house built in the late 19th century on the Onali estate in Hartola. Initially a modest cottage, it later expanded, eventually becoming a 300 ㎡ mansion. Logs used in the construction of old buildings were typically made of various trees – for our Hämeenlinna project we sawed them, sanded them, oiled them and modified steel legs to suit the logs. The courtyard of Espoo's Mankkaa School underwent a transformative renovation. NAANTALI collection table sets were placed throughout the splendid, multi-level outdoor space. We love how our work provides not only comfort, but also city usability! A row of robust leaning rails was designed for Turku's new market square, serving both as additional seating/leaning options, as well as space dividers. These rails guide bicycle traffic away from the pedestrian area of the square, directing it to the other side, behind the bike racks. The saplings planted in the Seinäjoki High School yard now have surrounding wood benches to protect and embrace their growth. These benches, crafted from Siberian larch and hot-dip galvanised steel, fear no changing weather conditions. With generous four-metre diameters, they also provide ample seating space for a large number of students. The Hirvensaari beach line is adorned with Nina Terno's sculpture "Havukka-ahon ajattelija," dedicated to the literary legacy of the Sotkamo-based author Veikko Huovinen.
